Role Overview

Join Datadog's rapidly scaling G&A team as a Deal Desk Analyst - EMEA in either Amsterdam, Netherlands or Dublin, Ireland. This high-impact role supports our global sales organization by structuring complex SaaS deals, providing expert quoting, and ensuring compliance with Datadog's pricing policies. As Datadog continues its explosive growth in cloud monitoring and observability, you'll partner with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Product teams to drive revenue while maintaining operational excellence.

Our Deal Desk team is critical to enabling sales teams to close enterprise deals efficiently while protecting margins and ensuring customer success. Key Responsibilities at Datadog

  • Master Datadog Pricing: Develop deep expertise in our multi-product licensing models including Infrastructure Monitoring, APM, Log Management, and Security solutions.
  • Deal Structuring: Create innovative deal structures that meet complex customer requirements while adhering to internal policies and revenue recognition rules.
  • Customer Negotiation: Actively negotiate contract terms directly with enterprise customers to secure commitments.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Legal, Contracts, Sales Operations, Order Management, Revenue, Finance, and Product Management teams.
  • Issue Resolution: Swiftly resolve post-deal customer satisfaction challenges to maintain renewal rates.
  • Pricing Authority: Serve as the go-to expert for EMEA sales on all pricing and quoting matters.
  • Process Excellence: Drive adherence to SOX controls, internal protocols, and business rules.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Analyze deal performance data to optimize pricing strategies and sales processes.
  • Sales Enablement: Create training materials and documentation to empower sales teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

Datadog seeks candidates with proven success in high-growth SaaS environments:

  • 4+ years in sales operations, finance, sales strategy, or enablement roles
  • 2+ years structuring complex SaaS transactions for multinational companies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606/IFRS 15)
  • Comfortable representing company in customer negotiations
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with tight deadlines

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Salesforce and CPQ experience
  • Previous Deal Desk or Renewals experience
  • Familiarity with cloud observability platforms
