Summary

As a Business Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in enabling operations across your defined location. You’ll be responsible for driving operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting the successful execution of strategic initiatives.

This role requires strong problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to navigate complex business environments. Depending on the market, responsibilities may include managing local relationships, working with government entities, overseeing compliance matters, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. In other markets, the focus may center on process optimization, data-driven decision making, and global coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute strategic initiatives that support Deel’s global expansion and operational growth.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Legal, Finance, Product, People, Compliance) to streamline workflows and drive continuous improvement.

  • Support goal setting, performance tracking, and strategic planning to align operations with business objectives.

  • Oversee operational requirements related to local labor, commercial, or industry-specific regulations.

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders—including government agencies, legal advisors, and regulatory bodies—to ensure compliance and resolve issues as they arise.

  • Support contract execution, business licensing, and inspection or audit readiness where applicable.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key local partners and authorities to facilitate efficient operations.

  • Access and interpret large data sets to inform strategic decisions and operational improvements.

  • Provide performance insights and regular reporting to leadership teams.

  • Contribute to business reviews by tracking key metrics and identifying opportunities for efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in business operations, consulting, investment banking, or similar fast-paced, high-impact environments.
