In this senior-level role, you'll own the end-to-end payroll cycle for assigned clients, ensuring every payment is accurate, timely, and fully compliant with South African regulations and beyond. Summary

In this role you will take ownership of more complex tasks while assisting with the end-to-end delivery for clients. You will assist with advanced components of the payroll cycle, ensure data integrity across customer and employee records, and troubleshoot nuanced payroll issues that require deeper technical understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the payroll cycle for assigned clients, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing of all employee and statutory payments.

  • Independently resolve moderately complex payroll problems, such as difficult tax filing issues, complex leave of absence calculations, or system discrepancies, using established methods and analytical judgment.

  • Conduct complex payroll reporting and reconciliation activities to support Finance and leadership, ensuring data integrity and thorough documentation.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing payroll processes, documentation, and procedures, occasionally improving processes to drive efficiency or quality.

  • Collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams, offering specialized expertise and operational support to achieve departmental objectives.

  • Ensure rigorous application of internal controls and data security protocols for all customer records and payment information.
