Summary
As a Manager, Payroll Operations, you’ll lead a team of specialists to deliver timely, accurate, and compliant payroll across multiple entities. You will develop scalable payroll processes, implement operational controls, and serve as a key partner to internal stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a payroll team, ensuring compliance and accuracy

  • Act as subject matter expert for payroll regulations and process inquiries

  • Establish and enforce operational procedures and internal controls

  • Monitor payroll performance data and implement improvements working cross functionally with product, engineering and internal teams

  • Monitor KPIs and lead initiatives to improve payroll performance

  • Participate in recruitment and onboarding of the rapidly scaling payroll team

  • Coordinate training and communication for payroll practices across teams

  • Maintain strong vendor and authority relationships for timely processing

  • Provide coaching and performance feedback to team members

Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of payroll operations experience, including team leadership
