Summary
The Senior Data Analyst for Onboarding will play a foundational role in shaping and structuring our onboarding analytics from the ground up. You will bring clarity and structure to a complex, evolving area of the business. You’ll create the insights, tools, and metrics that help teams deliver faster, smoother onboarding experiences at scale—directly influencing both operational improvements and strategic direction.
Responsibilities
Own the development of a robust reporting framework for Onboarding, bringing structure and scalability to a currently fragmented ecosystem
Partner closely with onboarding, product, and data teams to define key onboarding metrics, build dashboards, and enable self-serve analytics
Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities across the onboarding journey using data
Deliver insights to stakeholders across the company, from front-line teams to senior leadership, to inform strategic decisions and process improvements
Develop, maintain, and optimize reporting tools in Looker (or other BI tools), ensuring data is both reliable and actionable
Collaborate with data engineers and analytics engineers to model onboarding data and ensure pipelines are accurate and aligned with business logic
Desired skills and competencies
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Math, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
5+ years of experience in an analytical role, with at least some exposure to operational or product-facing analytics
Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to turn complex data into compelling narratives for a range of stakeholders
Experience with BI tools (we use Looker) and dashboard development
Familiarity with data modeling, metric design, and scalable reporting architectures
Comfort operating in ambiguity and helping define success metrics where none yet exist
Experience with dbt, LookML, and version control tools (Git, GitHub, etc.)
Prior experience in high-growth B2B SaaS environments
Familiarity with customer journey analytics and lifecycle tracking
