In this senior role you'll manage complex immigration cases from start to finish ensuring seamless support for Deel's global workforce. Working closely with HR legal and tax teams you'll handle relocations international assignments and mobility needs while maintaining strict compliance with Australian regulations. As a Registered Migration Agent (RMA) with OMARA you'll provide expert advice conduct VEVO checks assess right-to-work requirements and deliver consultations to clients. Summary

This role will manage the relocation, immigration, and mobility needs of Deel’s global workforce. You’ll work closely with HR, legal, and tax teams to ensure that employees on international assignments or relocations receive seamless support while staying compliant with local regulations. This role will help Deel expand its global talent pool and facilitate the movement of employees across multiple regions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage immigration cases from start to finish either in-house or through a third party provider with the majority of those being more complex.

  • Ensure cases are accurately updated on a case management system and actioned in a timely manner in accordance with set SLAs/KPIs.

  • Be a point of contact for low to medium level issues/escalations for other team members within the immigration team.

  • Give expert advice on immigration laws within Australia ensuring client’s compliance with current regulations.

  • Provide consultations (via email or call) to clients clearly outlining applicable immigration/work authorization routes.

  • Deliver outstanding client service through clear, professional communication and proactive case management.

  • Stay up to date with changes in immigration law and policies in assigned countries, proactively communicating any potential risks/changes that may impact clients/employees.

  • Assess right-to-work requirements for Employee of Records (EORs) and other types of permits.

  • Liaise with internal teams for corporate document gathering and work closely with other internal departments to ensure efficient case management.

  • Show strong understanding of country specific immigration processes, compliance requirements and act as a subject matter expert for assigned countries/regions.

  • Have immigration documents correctly updated, tracked and audited to ensure compliance and timely initiation of renewals.

  • Support in auditing and maintaining internal knowledge base on immigration requirements to ensure its accuracy.

  • Work on immigration/process improvement projects, as assigned.

  • Maintain compliance with OMARA requirements, including Code of Conduct obligations, documentation standards, and annual CPD

  • Conduct VEVO checks and ensure adherence to employer sponsorship obligations when applicable

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of progressive mobility experience, with at least 2–3 years as an Immigration Specialist or in similar roles
