Summary

The Senior ORM Risk Analyst will play a key role in strengthening and embedding the Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF), providing independent challenge, driving high-quality analysis, and taking partial ownership of ORM programs. Working closely with the Operational Risk team, this role contributes to effective risk reporting, governance, and the continuous improvement of operational risk practices across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed risk assessments for technology, process, and organizational change initiatives across the business.

  • Evaluate the potential impact of changes on operational resilience, regulatory compliance, customer experience, and financial stability.

  • Ensure risk assessments are integrated early in the change lifecycle to proactively mitigate issues.

  • Support the establishment and operation of change governance frameworks, policies, and approval processes.

  • Review and challenge change proposals, project documentation, and impact assessments to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory expectations.

  • Track adherence to change risk governance requirements, escalating deviations where necessary.

  • Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of change-related controls.

  • Perform post-implementation reviews to validate that risks were appropriately mitigated and controls are operating effectively. Recommend corrective actions and strengthen governance practices where gaps are identified

  • Produce high-quality operational risk dashboards, trend analysis, and committee reporting.

  • Provide insights on risk exposures, themes, and emerging risks to senior management.

  • Promote a strong risk culture by providing training, coaching, and regular engagement with stakeholders.

  • Encourage proactive identification and escalation of risks.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in operational risk management, audit, or related roles within financial services, payments, or FinTech.

  • Strong working knowledge of ORM programs, experience required in Change Risk Management and/or Change Governance

  • Experience with GRC systems and risk reporting tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Confident facilitator with ability to engage and challenge stakeholders at all levels.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business, or related field.

  • Professional certifications (e.g., ORM, CRISC, FRM) strongly preferred.

  • Ensure risk assessments are integrated early in the change lifecycle to proactively mitigate issues
  • Support the establishment and operation of change governance frameworks, policies, and approval processes
  • Review and challenge change proposals, project documentation, and impact assessments to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory expectations
  • Track adherence to change risk governance requirements, escalating deviations where necessary
  • Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of change-related controls
  • Perform post-implementation reviews to validate that risks were appropriately mitigated and controls are operating effectively
  • Produce high-quality operational risk dashboards, trend analysis, and committee reporting
  • Provide insights on risk exposures, themes, and emerging risks to senior management
  • Promote a strong risk culture by providing training, coaching, and regular engagement with stakeholders
  • Encourage proactive identification and escalation of risks
