About Deliveroo

Deliveroo is on a mission to transform the way the world eats. We partner with the best restaurants in the UK & Ireland to deliver food to customers quickly and conveniently. As a technology-driven company, we're at the forefront of the expanding food delivery industry.

The Team

The UK & Ireland is Deliveroo's most mature market globally. Our Regional team drives performance across all five nations, focusing on local markets from Brighton to Bangor, Bolton to Belfast. We oversee all three sides of our marketplace: restaurants, consumers, and riders, ensuring the best possible selection and growth opportunities.

The Role: City Manager

We are looking for a City Manager to join our North East team. Based in Newcastle, Middlesbrough, or Sunderland, this is a rare opportunity to lead and drive results within your cities. You'll lead a sales team, improve selection, and execute guerrilla marketing activities. If you thrive in ambiguity and have a strong bias for action, this role is for you. Reporting to the Programme Lead, Regional Growth, you'll primarily work in your cities, with some time in the Leeds office.

A Day in the Life

As a City Manager, your day will be dynamic and varied. Here’s a glimpse of what you can expect:

  • Evening: Oversee guerrilla marketing activities and ensure they are aligned with your city's goals.

Why Leeds/Newcastle/Middlesborough/Sunderland?

These cities are vibrant and growing markets for Deliveroo, offering unique opportunities to expand our presence and serve our customers. With a diverse range of restaurants and a strong demand for food delivery, these locations are key to our success in the North East.

  • Senior City Manager: Oversee multiple cities or regions, taking on greater responsibility for driving performance.
  • Regional Manager: Lead a team of City Managers, providing strategic direction and support.
  • Head of Regional Growth: Develop and execute growth strategies for the entire region.

  • Employee Discount: Get discounts on Deliveroo orders.
  • Professional Development: Opportunities for training and career advancement.
