Role Overview

As a Delivery Driver in Pharmacy Services at Cardinal Health's Springfield, IL location, you'll ensure the prompt and accurate delivery of radiopharmaceuticals and oncology pharmaceuticals to healthcare providers. This full-time role offers a predictable Monday-Friday schedule from 1:00am to 9:00am (40 hours/week), with occasional on-call rotations (every 10 weeks) and one holiday per year. Flexibility is key—be prepared to adjust for business needs, including early starts, overtime, or extended hours. Starting pay is $15.70 per hour, plus a $1,000 new hire sign-on bonus. Key Responsibilities

Daily Deliveries & Packaging

Prepare doses for shipment, wipe containers, and load/unload vehicles while following strict safety protocols for handling radiopharmaceuticals. Make timely deliveries to customer accounts on your assigned route, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customer demands.

Technology & Inventory Management

Use a handheld tablet to scan orders, verify accuracy, access route navigation, and process returns from customer sites. Maintain meticulous records to support our efficient pharmacy operations serving hospitals and oncology practices.

Vehicle & Facility Maintenance

Keep company vehicles in top condition, performing minor roadside repairs if needed. Contribute to general facility cleaning and other duties to uphold our high standards of safety and efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and excellent driving record. Comfortable lifting up to 75 pounds, sitting/standing for extended periods, and driving in all weather conditions day or night. Prior delivery experience is a plus but not required.

Skills & Traits

Strong customer service and communication skills are crucial for interacting with healthcare providers. Proficiency with computers and tablets is necessary. You'll work under moderate supervision, applying knowledge to routine tasks while adhering to SOPs and quality guidelines. Flexibility for on-call (M-F 2pm-midnight, 24-hour weekends/holidays every 10 weeks) and holidays is required.
