Job Description for SAP Central Finance (CFIN) Senior Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP Central Finance (CFIN) Consultant to lead and deliver CFIN projects. The role involves solution design, configuration, and integration for large-scale SAP Central Finance implementations. The ideal candidate should possess strong functional expertise in SAP Finance and Central Finance, along with excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP Central Finance implementation projects, including requirement gathering, design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Oversee integration of financial data from multiple source systems (SAP and non-SAP) to the CFIN system.
• Provide expert guidance on Central Finance architecture, SLT, AIF, MDG, and replication processes.
• Define and lead the initial load strategy for financial documents, open items, and balances from multiple source systems. Perform data mapping, harmonization, and validation before executing the initial load. Conduct trial loads and mock runs, analyze discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
• Design and configure real-time replication using SLT (System Landscape Transformation) to ensure seamless data flow. Define monitoring and alert mechanisms to track replication performance and resolve failures proactively. Guide the team on error handling, data corrections, and system performance optimization during replication.
• Establish escalation and resolution procedures for replication errors between source and target systems. Conduct root cause analysis and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex replication or reconciliation issues.
• Manage and mentor project team members to ensure successful project delivery.
• Conduct workshops with business stakeholders and provide best practice recommendations.
• Integrate and align FSCM components (Credit Management, Collections, Dispute Management) with Central Finance processes.
• Lead data migration strategy and execution for Central Finance projects, ensuring accurate transfer of historical and open item data from source systems.
• Drive data validation, reconciliation strategies, and cutover activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues during implementation and support phases.
• Ensure compliance with global finance processes and internal controls.

Required Experience and Skills

• Experience: Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Central Finance with an overall 6–10 years in SAP Finance/FICO.
• Strong expertise in Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules.
• In-depth knowledge of SLT (System Landscape Transformation) and AIF (Application Interface Framework) for replication and monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with Master Data Governance (MDG) for Central Finance scenarios.
• Knowledge of integration with SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.

Additional Requirements

• Experience in leading large-scale SAP S/4HANA Central Finance programs.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• SAP Certification in Central Finance or S/4HANA Finance is preferred.
