Role Overview

As a Diesel Mechanic at PepsiCo in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability and functionality of our diesel vehicle fleet. This full-time position involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring operational efficiency. You will manage company resources responsibly, adhering to processes and guidelines for daily operations. This hands-on role offers a chance to maximize vehicle longevity while contributing to PepsiCo's supply chain in the food and beverage sector.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day impact includes:

• Inspecting vehicle engines and mechanical/electrical components for accurate problem diagnosis.
• Examining vehicle computers and electronic systems for repairs, maintenance, and updates.
• Conducting routine maintenance tasks such as fluid replacements, part lubrication, and more to ensure functionality and longevity.
• Scheduling future maintenance sessions and advising drivers on optimal vehicle use.
• Repairing or replacing broken or dysfunctional parts and resolving incidents like leaks.
• Providing precise estimates for repair or maintenance work, including costs, time, and effort.
• Maintaining detailed records of all work performed and incidents.
• Keeping equipment and tools in excellent condition.

Qualifications & Requirements

We seek qualified candidates with:

• Secondary education completion.
• At least 1 year of verifiable experience as a diesel mechanic.
• A valid Type D driver's license.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
• Practical expertise in vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
• Ability to operate various tools (e.g., pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g., lifts).
• Commitment to safety precautions against accidents, hazardous fluids, and chemicals.
• Availability to work Monday through Saturday.
