Key Responsibilities at Datadog

  • Team Leadership: Manage, hire, train, and ramp a high-performing team of Enterprise Sales Executives responsible for new and expansion bookings in the ANZ Public Sector.
  • Quota Achievement: Drive annual Enterprise bookings quota attainment with rigorous monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and manage key productivity metrics like deal size, win rate, forecast accuracy, and proactive sales cycle leadership.
  • Executive Coaching: Coach Sales Executives on building C-level relationships within named Enterprise accounts and navigating complex negotiations.
  • Strategy Development: Shape the go-to-market strategy and execution specifically for the Public Sector region.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to create targeted messaging, collateral, and customer journey maps.
  • Forecasting Discipline: Lead weekly forecast meetings to maintain pipeline visibility and accuracy.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experienced managing high-performing Enterprise Sales teams for B2B technology companies.
  • 5+ years overall Enterprise sales experience specifically with public sector customers in ANZ.
  • Proven confidence managing complex sales processes with multiple stakeholders, legal reviews, and procurement negotiations based on business value.
  • Deep knowledge selling to C-level executives in IT and technology within government organizations.
  • Demonstrated success setting quotas and managing teams to consistent quota attainment.
  • Passionate coach with individual contributor track record in closing complex Enterprise deals.
