Role Overview

The Director, Ethics and Compliance Investigations plays a pivotal role in upholding Gilead's culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability. • Developing and executing investigation plans, including witness identification, evidence collection from documents and systems.
• Conducting fact-finding interviews, analyzing data, and producing clear, documented findings with actionable recommendations.
• Collaborating with Legal, Employee Relations, Corporate Security, Internal Audit, and hotline teams for seamless coordination.
• Supporting hotline intake through triage improvements, metrics dashboards, and trend reports for Board and executive levels.
• Maintaining meticulous case documentation in the management system and identifying systemic issues for policy enhancements.
• Mentoring junior investigators and promoting ethics across the organization.

Qualifications & Requirements

Gilead seeks candidates with proven expertise in high-stakes investigations. Minimum requirements include:

• 12+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 10+ years with a Master’s; or 8+ years with a JD or advanced degree.
• Demonstrated experience leading investigations in corporate, legal, or government settings; healthcare/biotech preferred.
• Strong knowledge of regulations like FCPA, False Claims Act, and OIG/DOJ guidance.
• Exceptional interviewing, analytical, and report-writing skills.
• High emotional intelligence, mentorship abilities, and adaptability in evolving regulatory landscapes.
