Role Overview
MongoDB's Internal Audit team delivers independent assurance on risk management, governance, and controls while supporting management's advisory needs. As Director of Audit & Controls Transformation, you'll drive SOX readiness, controls modernization, and strategic initiatives that scale with MongoDB's explosive growth. This hybrid role in Austin, TX requires deep expertise in ITGCs, ITACs, cloud environments, and SaaS controls.

Key Responsibilities at MongoDB
- Lead Internal Audit transformation including methodologies, templates, tools modernization
- Drive automation, analytics, and continuous monitoring implementations
- Execute SOX readiness initiatives and build transformation roadmaps
- Partner with Engineering, Security, IT on access management, change controls
- Support M&A SOX integration for acquired companies
- Manage strategic deep dives, risk assessments, operational reviews
- Coach Internal Audit team and cross-functional partners
- Build scalable SOX playbooks and knowledge repositories
- Advance project tracking and quality assurance capabilities
- Influence senior leadership on control environment strategy
Qualifications & Requirements
Required (10+ years experience):
- Deep expertise in ITGCs, ITACs, cloud/SaaS environments, modern SOX
- Proven leadership in audit/controls transformation projects
- Strong stakeholder influence across all organizational levels
- Exceptional analytical, project management, communication skills

- Identify automation, analytics, continuous monitoring, and data-driven audit opportunities
- Advance Internal Audit capabilities in project tracking, quality assurance, and operational excellence

- Build and execute SOX transformation roadmaps with management partnership
- Partner with Engineering, Security, and IT teams on SOX maturity for access, change management
