The Director, Marketing Sciences - HIV Treatment, within Gilead's Global Decision Sciences & Insights (GDSI) group, plays a pivotal role in commercial efforts by delivering objective insights into markets, product performance, customers, and competitors. This position demands a proactive market researcher and brand strategist with agency and in-house experience. You will synthesize primary research with secondary data to provide clear understanding of patients, physicians, competitors, and HIV market dynamics. Partnering with Global Strategic Marketing (GSM), Commercial Strategy, Finance, and leadership, you will enable data-driven decisions for pipeline launches and lifecycle management. Based in Foster City, California, this full-time role offers the chance to lead global insights for our HIV portfolio, impacting millions worldwide.
Lead global market research initiatives for HIV brands, offering evidence-based guidance for launch preparedness, lifecycle management, and brand strategy. Act as a strategic advisor to GSM, ensuring insights align with business objectives.
Demonstrate deep knowledge in qualitative and quantitative methods, including Demand Studies, Awareness Tracking Usage (ATU), positioning, messaging, campaign testing, and brand planning. Deliver forward-thinking recommendations through patient journey analyses, treatment flow mapping, segmentation, and competitive assessments.
Combine primary insights with secondary analytics, claims data, IQVIA, SDOH/consumer data, lab data, and patient chart audits to craft cohesive narratives. Inform brand positioning, segmentation, and patient journey strategies for senior leadership.
Navigate Gilead's global matrix organization, managing vendor partnerships and budgets. Collaborate with GSM Indication and Therapeutic Area Leads to prioritize research for launches, campaigns, and execution.
To excel as Director, Marketing Sciences - HIV Treatment, candidates need proven leadership in biopharma market research, ideally with agency training and corporate experience. Expertise in HIV therapeutics, patient journeys, and competitive landscapes is essential.
