Role Overview

As Director, Software Engineering - Reliability Engineering, ITC, you will lead a team of elite Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) within Nike's Resilience Engineering organization. This role focuses on delivering highly reliable and observable software that supports Nike's digital ecosystem, including Nike.com, Nike App, SNKRS, retail platforms, wholesale, and supply chain technologies.   • Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of experience as a software engineer, principal engineer, team lead, or manager of distributed teams.
  • Expertise in delivering large-scale software using modern reliability practices: multi-region/multi-cloud setups, active/active architectures, canary deployments, synthetic testing, containers, and more.
  • Hands-on experience building, deploying, and operating distributed microservices in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
  • Proven ability to build stakeholder relationships, leverage technical credibility, and drive outcomes through influence.
  • Track record of reducing toil in complex systems via automation and process optimization.
  • Deep knowledge of observability tools, processes, and mindset; open-source experience is a plus.
