Role Overview

As Director, Statistical Programming at Gilead Sciences, you will spearhead the end-to-end strategy for clinical data science tools, including SAS macros, data operations, and automation solutions. This leadership role owns a multidisciplinary team of statistical programmers, data engineers, and platform operators. Partnering with Biostatistics, Clinical Operations, Regulatory, and Quality, you'll ensure compliant, efficient delivery using SAS Macros, Python, Linux scripting, and cloud services. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop teams in SAS macro programming, Python, Linux scripting, and web applications for clinical deliverables.
• Oversee design, validation, and maintenance of SAS macros, SDTM/ADaM datasets, TLFs, ensuring FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and GxP compliance.
• Manage project delivery, resource allocation, timelines, budgets, and vendor partnerships.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Biostatistics, Clinical Data Management, Regulatory Affairs, and IT.
• Innovate with cloud platforms, AI/ML, and automation pipelines to optimize workflows.
• Ensure SOP adherence, code quality, version control, and comprehensive documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bring proven expertise to Gilead:

• PhD/PharmD with 8+ years, Master’s with 10+ years, or Bachelor’s with 12+ years in statistical programming or related fields.
• Deep knowledge of SAS, Python, Linux, and cloud technologies for clinical data analysis.
