Role Overview

As Director, Threat Research & Reporting in CrowdStrike's Malware Research Center (MRC), you'll spearhead a cross-functional team assessing current and emerging threat landscapes. Identify gaps in CrowdStrike's Falcon platform, drive organization-wide solutions, and manage key internal and external relationships. MRC powers Falcon's malware detection and response, analyzing threats to enhance machine learning and behavioral protections. Collaborate across teams to deliver unmatched customer protection against evolving cyber threats. This remote role in the United Kingdom offers leadership in endpoint-to-cloud security domains.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Growth

Lead and expand a geographically distributed team of researchers and engineers spanning endpoint to cloud security. Guide talent development with empathy, helping team members navigate career and technical paths.

Platform Evaluation & Improvement

Evaluate and measure Falcon's detection performance. Partner with counterparts to bolster platform resilience and address detection gaps swiftly.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work with assessment stakeholders to gather requirements, showcase CrowdStrike as the premier cybersecurity platform, and resolve identified gaps.

Relationship Management

Manage or support ties with external research partners, testing entities, and customers for collaborative security validation.

Threat Landscape Analysis

Continuously assess current and future threats, leveraging expertise to drive proactive protections.

Essential Experience

Bring at least 10 years in cybersecurity, information security, threat research, or related fields. Demonstrate comprehensive grasp of enterprise security methodologies, technologies, and best practices. Proven track record delivering results across multiple teams, with deep knowledge of the cyber threat landscape and MITRE ATT&CK framework.
