As Director, US Benefits - MSO at Cardinal Health, you will spearhead the design, implementation, and administration of comprehensive employee benefits programs across the United States. This strategic leadership position focuses on creating competitive, compliant, and innovative benefits offerings, including health insurance, retirement plans, and specialized Managed Service Organization (MSO) benefits. Reporting to HR senior leadership, you will drive benefits strategy aligned with business goals, manage multi-vendor relationships, and ensure fiscal responsibility in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This nationwide remote role offers flexibility while impacting thousands of employees.
Identify opportunities to modernize benefits experiences by conducting periodic portfolio reviews and benchmarking against industry peers. Leverage data analytics to evolve programs that attract, retain, and engage top talent, ensuring alignment with workforce trends.
Analyze claims and utilization data to optimize costs and ROI. Oversee annual budgets, forecasts, and end-to-end administration processes, including enrollment, eligibility, and digital streamlining for efficiency.
Maintain unwavering compliance with ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and other regulations. Proactively adapt to industry changes and lead M&A benefits integration for seamless transitions during acquisitions and divestitures.
Direct MSO-specific benefits, including annual open enrollment, claims monitoring, record-keeping, and employee communications, while balancing cost-effectiveness for participating employers.
Inspire a high-performing team, foster innovation, and partner cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Legal to deliver cohesive strategies and executive recommendations.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in health and wellness benefits, retirement plans, and MSO operations, coupled with 10+ years of progressive benefits leadership. Key qualifications include proven strategic innovation, regulatory mastery, data-driven decision-making, and experience managing complex vendor ecosystems. A bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field is required; advanced certifications like CEBS are preferred.
