Key Responsibilities

As an Account Executive in Discord's Media & Entertainment team, your impact will be measured by revenue growth and client success. Here's what success looks like:

• Client Solution Development: Identify entertainment clients' marketing challenges and craft tailored Discord Quests solutions that deliver measurable value.
• Prospecting Excellence: Source new opportunities with film studios (Disney, Warner Bros., Universal), streaming giants (Netflix, Amazon Prime), TV networks (HBO, NBCUniversal), and top media agencies.
• Relationship Mastery: Build deep, strategic partnerships with brand marketers and agency decision-makers who control entertainment media budgets.
• Strategic Campaign Design: Pitch sophisticated multi-phase strategies covering trailer campaigns → theatrical releases → home entertainment → streaming windows.
• Revenue Ownership: Negotiate and close high-value deals with bundled Quest offerings to exceed quarterly and annual targets.
• Account Planning: Implement structured processes to prioritize accounts, expand revenue, and navigate complex stakeholder relationships.
• Data-Driven Selling: Leverage campaign analytics and Discord's measurement tools to prove ROI and secure multi-year partnerships.
• Product Expertise: Become the go-to expert on Quests and emerging Discord advertising products, adapting recommendations to diverse entertainment needs.
• Creative Innovation: Bring concepting skills to RFPs, developing breakthrough campaign ideas that make Discord the must-have gaming platform for entertainment marketing.
• Industry Presence: Represent Discord at marquee events like CinemaCon, Sundance, SXSW, Comic-Con, and Cannes Lions to build brand awareness and generate leads.

Qualifications & Requirements

We're looking for seasoned professionals who thrive in high-growth environments. Ideal candidates bring:

• 5+ years in entertainment advertising sales, agency-side media planning, or brand marketing roles
• Proven quota attainment with $1M+ annual revenue responsibility
• Established relationships within Hollywood studios, streaming services, and media agencies
• Deep gaming industry knowledge and understanding of Discord's ecosystem
• Experience with performance marketing products and ROI-focused selling
• Track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
• Excellent presentation skills with ability to tell compelling stories using data
• Willingness to travel to industry events and client meetings
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Marketing, Business, Communications)

Salary & Benefits

Compensation: Base salary range of $120,000 - $200,000+ (OTE), including uncapped commission based on performance in this high-growth vertical.
