Key Responsibilities

The Finance Manager, Business Operations will lead Discord's most vital business cadences. Here's what success looks like:

• End-to-End Ownership of WBRs and QBRs: From agenda design and cross-team coordination to executive delivery and continuous improvement, you'll ensure these rhythms run flawlessly.
• Executive Dashboard Mastery: Build interactive tools that connect KPIs to strategic objectives, enabling real-time performance attribution and decision-making.
• Data Storytelling Excellence: Transform raw financial and operational metrics into narratives that reveal trends, risks, and opportunities for C-suite leaders.
• Scalable Process Architecture: Create templates, frameworks, and operating models that scale with Discord's hyper-growth while maintaining efficiency.
• C-Suite Ready Materials: Craft polished presentations, one-pagers, and deep-dive analyses that drive clarity and action.
• Real-Time Visibility: Implement tracking mechanisms for ongoing business health monitoring between formal reviews.
• Accountability Champion: Track commitments, follow up on action items, and ensure cross-functional delivery.
• Planning Integration: Bridge review insights to strategic planning, keeping annual goals aligned with current realities.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Work directly with executives in Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations.

Qualifications

To excel as Discord's Finance Manager, Business Operations, you need:

• 8+ years in FP&A, strategy consulting, chief of staff, or program management with executive exposure
• Hands-on experience owning business reviews (WBRs, QBRs, MBRs)
• Advanced data visualization skills (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Google Data Studio)
• Expert Excel modeling with pivot tables, INDEX-MATCH, and scenario analysis
• SQL proficiency for querying business databases
• Proven storytelling ability turning numbers into executive narratives
• Track record driving cross-functional accountability in matrix organizations
• Experience in high-growth tech or gaming companies preferred
• Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business; MBA a plus
• Thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with executive visibility

Salary & Benefits

Salary Range: $165,000 - $225,000 base (depending on experience) + equity + bonus.
