Role Overview

The Manager, Global Accounts Receivable oversees Discord's entire receivables lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Reporting to the Global Accounting Operations leadership, you'll manage a team of AR analysts, drive process improvements in Oracle Fusion, and collaborate with Revenue, Sales, and Tax teams. Key focus areas include reducing DSO, enhancing collections, and delivering actionable financial insights. This role is pivotal in supporting Discord's growth in the advertising space, where timely receivables directly impact revenue recognition and cash flow.

In this position, you'll handle high-volume invoicing for advertising clients, resolve complex billing disputes, and implement best-in-class AR practices. Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop AR team members, providing coaching on technical skills, process optimization, and career growth while building a collaborative culture.
• Invoice Management: Review and validate invoices in Oracle Fusion, ensuring compliance with company policies, customer contracts, and advertising-specific terms.
• Process Optimization: Continuously improve AR workflows, implementing automation and best practices for invoicing, collections, and reconciliations to enhance efficiency.
• Collections Expertise: Develop strategies to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), enforce credit policies, and minimize bad debt through proactive collections.
• Customer Relations: Build and maintain relationships with key advertising clients, resolving escalated disputes and ensuring high satisfaction levels.
• Reporting & Analysis: Generate AR aging reports, collection KPIs, and financial analyses for senior leadership to support strategic decisions.
• Compliance Assurance: Maintain adherence to GAAP, SOX controls, and internal policies, safeguarding Discord's financial integrity.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales Ops, Revenue Accounting, and Tax teams to align on credit holds, revenue recognition, and billing issues.
• Month-End Close: Execute close processes in Oracle Fusion, preparing accurate reports for monthly and quarterly financials.
• Data-Driven Insights: Analyze trends in receivables to recommend improvements and forecast cash flows.
• System Implementation: Work with IT and Systems teams to enhance Oracle Fusion AR modules.
• Performance Metrics: Track and report on AR efficiency metrics, driving continuous improvement.
• Training & Development: Conduct team training on new processes and tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
• 5+ years AR experience, with 2+ years in advertising/tech sectors.
• Proven managerial experience leading AR teams.
• Advanced proficiency in Oracle Fusion ERP.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and compliance expertise.
• Track record of DSO reduction and process automation.
• Excellent analytical skills with Excel and BI tools.
• Superior communication for stakeholder management.
• Experience in month-end closes and financial reporting.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, gaming/tech environment.
• Collaborative mindset for cross-departmental work.

Salary & Benefits

Salary range: $140,000 - $180,000 USD yearly, based on experience. Total compensation includes equity, bonuses.
