ABC Owned Television Stations is seeking a strong candidate for the role of Content Systems Engineer.
This full-time role is hands on and is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting mission critical media systems supporting various departments across the enterprise, primarily media production.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Broadcast Engineering, or related field or equivalent years of work experience
5 years of broadcast/post production engineering experience
Advanced knowledge of media workflow and orchestration systems such as Telestream Vantage, IBM Aspera, Dalet Galaxy, etc.
Intermediate knowledge of Python, PowerShell, or other programming languages
Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, and AWS media services)
Knowledge of on-premises Virtualization & Storage solutions (VMware, NetApp Storage, Dell EMC Isilon, etc.)
Familiarity with broadcast hardware (encoders, decoders, video routers, etc.)
Understanding of live video transport protocols (SRT, RTMP, RTSP, NDI, etc.)
Familiarity with Post Production workflows (transcoding, archiving, etc.) including non-linear editing, VFX and motion graphics software (Adobe Creative Suite [After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro], Maxon CINEMA 4D, DaVinci Resolve, etc.)
Excellent organization and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and quickly adapt to changing requirements
Ability to work early mornings, late nights, holidays, and weekends as needed for outages and/or maintenance windows, and participate in the department’s on-call rotation
