About the Role & Team

The Disney Corporate Brand team is looking for a Director, Data Product Management to own and evolve our unified view of enterprise consumer data. This role is pivotal in ensuring our data products and technical architecture are best-in-class to drive robust analytics, personalization, and marketing activation, including ongoing optimization & evolution of data collection and management for future transformation and development.

What You Will Do

As a key leader within the team, you will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for managing our unified enterprise consumer data technical architecture and a strategic suite of related data products. You will collaborate closely with internal teams across Disney – including Analytics, Data Science, Marketing, and Business teams – empowering them to leverage trusted, high-quality data to drive business decisions, marketing activation, and enhance user experiences across the enterprise.

 

This role requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise, capable of translating business needs into actionable data architecture and product roadmaps while balancing scalability, performance, and privacy compliance.

  • Own and define the vision, strategy, and technical architecture for full data product suite (e.g., consumer database, activation toolset(s), governance toolset(s), etc.) ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Data Architecture, Privacy, Governance, and Business Teams to build scalable, compliant, and highly available data products to enable effective use of cross-enterprise consumer data

  • Lead new data product ideas & initiatives, including development of robust product roadmap(s); track progress to build enhanced capabilities over time

  • Lead data engineering and operational functions & staff, including overseeing inbound/outbound data feeds and managing system performance and availability

  • Enable data activation by ensuring consumer data is architected for analytics, machine learning, data science, and other data use cases.  Oversee stakeholder access, prioritizing intake requests and ensuring timely, compliant data delivery

  • Develop/manage privacy compliance technical framework, including data access and related controls.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in data product management, platform development, data engineering, or related fields

  • Strong experience with big data storage, processing technologies, and modeling techniques (Snowflake, Redshift, OLAP, etc.)

  • Experience & familiarity with CDPs, activation platforms, and governance tools

  • Experience working with data ingestion APIs, warehouse infrastructure, and data sharing technologies

  • Strong understanding of identity resolution and effective data management

  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and vendor relationships

  • Ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements and deliver scalable, high-impact data solutions

  • Ability to lead, support, and grow a high-performing team

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  • Graduate degree in a related field


The hiring range for this position in California is $188,400.00 to $252,600.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
