The Manager, Cast Engagement at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) spearheads initiatives to foster a positive, fun, and caring workplace, ensuring cast members feel valued, motivated, and aligned with HKDL’s priorities.
This role involves leveraging data to develop and implement engagement strategies and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to create a cohesive approach that enhances cast satisfaction, morale, and productivity. They act as the primary point of contact, coordinating between teams to meet objectives.
Responsibilities
Design and execute cast engagement programs (events, activities, recognition) that foster a positive workplace culture.
Lead the development and implementation of engagement strategies aligned with HKDL priorities and values.
Build strong cross-functional partnerships across Lines of Business (LoBs) to deliver cohesive, impactful programs.
Serve as the strategic liaison between segment and HKDL to ensure consistent program delivery.
Use employee surveys, data analysis, and feedback to generate insights and recommendations; report findings to stakeholders.
Manage budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure efficient execution of engagement projects.
Stay current on market and industry trends to continuously improve programs.
Lead and develop a team of three direct reports.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Marketing, Psychology, Communications, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience (e.g., general management, project management, communications, HR, marketing); preferred experience in multinational corporations.
Proven track record in designing and implementing engagement strategies and programs.
Strong stakeholder management, relationship-building, and influencing skills across multiple LoBs.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills; able to articulate insights in a business-friendly way and obtain buy-in.
Data-driven mindset with experience analyzing employee surveys/feedback and translating insights into action.
Strong problem-solving skills; able to operate in ambiguity, balance competing priorities, and adapt quickly.
Program/project management skills, including impact-based prioritization and resource/budget management.
Understanding of how engagement impacts business performance and cast experience; familiarity with market landscape and offerings.
High self-awareness and consistency; able to empower partners and incorporate feedback to refine strategies.
