This position works closely with the Post Production team to play a critical role in facilitating the day-to-day post production objectives. This is a 6 month Temporary position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the Post Production Supervisor and Post Manager to ensure schedules, calendars, meetings and communication are clear and up to date.
Support and partners with the Post Production Supervisor on various projects such as, but not limited to sound mixes, screenings, loop group and meeting deliverable deadlines.
Schedule & coordinate Loop Group sessions, including gathering and organizing voice demos
Primary note taker for meetings and maintaining accurate records of deliverables.
Schedule, assist and monitor QCs for Previews and key deliverables.
Coordinate all purchase orders as directed by the Post Supervisor
Coordinate logistics related to MCC / Mastering Work Requests, including, but not limited to: milestones, turnovers, and final deliverables as directed by Post Supervisor
Maintain departmental records, calendars and schedules in Post Production
Strategize with the Post Supervisor to identify, prioritize, and implement new department processes
Ensure proper preparation for meetings and reviews as needed including setting up rooms with supplies, updating agendas and recording and publishing notes.
Partner with the Post Supervisor to provide information and assistance to those within and outside of the department.
Provide general post production support
Coordinate logistics for on/off-site meetings, previews, and Skywalker events
Regularly handle sensitive information in a discrete and confidential manner
Manage the post department's administration, including post-production accounting, final delivery paperwork, and organizing documents
Back up for coordinating dialogue recording sessions for all shows as needed
Organize working meals and catering needs
Back up for other post department coordinators as needed.
Successfully organize and manage the day-to-day tasks and operations, which may include but are not limited to:
Phone, email, and mail correspondence
Shipping
Contacts and electronic and paper files
Department manuals, processes, procedural documentation
Office supply needs
Working meals and catering needs
QUALIFICATIONS:
Three years of practical experience, preferably as a Production Coordinator in feature-animation or short-animation film production or VFX production
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in feature-animation production preferred
Understanding of production terminology and the production environment. Knowledge of animation terminology and environment a plus
SKILLS:
Computer literacy and ability to work with databases as well as standard word-processing and spreadsheet software
Flexible nature with the ability to anticipate needs, problem solve, and prioritize multiple tasks and activities in a dynamic, deadline-driven work environment
Ability to work autonomously and on a team
Ability to maintain focus on detailed priorities in a dynamic work environment
Ability to self-organize and follow organization system of the department
Ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels
Willingness to travel a plus
Proficiency with Excel, Word and Photoshop; Final-Cut-Pro and experience with project-planning applications a plus
Expectations to be onsite 4-5 days a week as needed. Weekends and evenings as needed with notice.
The hiring range for this position in Emeryville is $60,095.00 to $77,770.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
