Senior Safety Professional
As a member of the Disney Signature Experiences (DSE) Safety team, you will partner and interact with various businesses on the coordination of Cast and Guest safety. DSE includes a diverse mix of unique businesses, including Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, Adventures by Disney, National Geographic Expeditions, Storyliving by Disney, and Disney Institute.
As a Senior Safety Professional, you will be an essential resource, driving the identification, assessment, analysis, and solution of a broad spectrum of safety issues across DSE business units. Primary responsibility for this position will be supporting the Adventures by Disney and National Geographic Expeditions business units.
This position is Florida-based; however, international travel may be required 15% to 25% of the time.
Drive the development and implementation of safety programs, evaluate safety performance, and find opportunities to improve safety performance
Ensure implementation of applicable safety standards and established regulations
Work closely with internal teams to review contracts and agreements with external partners for safety requirements
Lead and/or participate in incident investigations and follow-ups
Analyze injury and illness data and prepare presentations on trends and mitigation plans
Travel, as needed, on trips or to partner locations to ensure safety standards are being met
Manage relationships and work as part of a team within a matrix environment with all levels of leadership and employees
Engage and collaborate with global and local partners to drive and ensure consistency across DSE business units
5+ years of experience in the hospitality industry, international group travel operations, or related field
Passion for safety, risk reduction, and improving well-being for both Cast and Guests
Prior experience managing relationships with external partners
Proven knowledge of relevant regulatory and industry safety standards
Self-driven and resourceful with problem-solving abilities outside of expertise
Ability to handle confidential information
Ability to travel with a valid passport
Previous occupational safety, safety management, or safety engineering experience, or equivalent
Previous experience with contract management and/or licensing agreements
Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation, or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Master’s degree
