The Dock Coordinator position at Cardinal Health's Kansas City pharmaceutical distribution center is a full-time, day-shift opportunity (Monday-Thursday, 5:30am-3:30pm). This role is pivotal in managing inbound dock operations, overseeing trailer unloading, receiving processes, and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training compliance. As a key liaison between transportation and warehouse teams, you'll ensure freight is handled safely, accurately, and on time. With an anticipated hourly range of $18.70 to $26.80, this position offers competitive compensation in a fast-paced environment committed to excellence in healthcare distribution.
In this role, you'll drive the seamless flow of inbound products while upholding the highest safety standards. Core duties include coordinating trailer unloads, verifying shipment accuracy, maintaining PIT compliance records, enforcing OSHA guidelines, and communicating proactively with stakeholders. You'll also keep the dock organized, assist with audits, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring our distribution center operates at peak efficiency.
Expect to handle multiple priorities, from staging products correctly to resolving discrepancies swiftly, all while fostering a safe and productive dock environment.
We seek candidates with proven warehouse or dock operations experience, preferably in a coordination or lead capacity. Strong PIT knowledge and adherence to safety regulations are essential. Ideal applicants demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, effective problem-solving, and clear communication skills in dynamic settings. A High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience is preferred. This role requires working knowledge of company policies, moderate judgment in issue resolution, and the ability to work with limited supervision while occasionally guiding junior team members.
