The Account Executive, SMB (German Speaking) is a high-impact individual contributor role reporting to the Manager, SMB, blending relationship management with revenue expansion. You will engage existing German-speaking SMB clients programmatically, uncovering new use cases for DocuSign's e-signature, CLM, and broader Agreement Cloud to drive growth. Thriving in our technology-driven culture, you'll handle a large portfolio of accounts, qualify opportunities per our sales methodology, and position DocuSign's value proposition against clients' core business issues. This hybrid role (minimum 2 days/week in-office) demands fluency in English and German to build lasting partnerships. Key to success is expanding beyond initial implementations by recommending upsells, processing orders, facilitating onboarding, and coordinating with professional services, training, and product teams. You'll maintain CRM accuracy in Salesforce, deliver precise forecasts, and serve as clients' internal advocate for loyalty. With a track record in SaaS sales, you'll enlist customers for events, deepen product expertise, and contribute to our inclusive culture where every voice drives innovation. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver programmatic engagement with existing DocuSign SMB clients to develop relationships and drive incremental revenue through new use cases in the DocuSign Intelligent Agreement Management platform
  • Qualify sales opportunities using DocuSign’s sales methodology, focusing on client fit, success criteria, and e-signature/CLM expansion potential
  • Position DocuSign's value proposition by linking e-signature, CLM, and agreement automation benefits to clients' key business challenges
  • Expand DocuSign solutions beyond initial implementation by upselling products, services, and partner integrations
  • Process sales orders, facilitate seamless customer onboarding, and coordinate with professional services, training, and product teams
  • Enlist customers to participate in DocuSign and partner events as advocates and speakers
  • Provide accurate, timely sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates to management
  • Maintain sophisticated knowledge of DocuSign’s e-signature, CLM, and intelligent agreement management offerings
  • Keep CRM database (Salesforce) current with account details, leads, and follow-ups
  • Serve as internal advocate and escalation point to ensure customer loyalty and satisfaction

Required Qualifications

  • Basic fluency in English and German (written and spoken)
  • Experience in consultative sales and account management, preferably within a SaaS model
  • Proficiency using Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of concurrent client relationships
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively at all organizational levels
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel as necessary
