In this people manager role reporting to the GVP, B2B Product Management, you will own foundational AI capabilities like deep contract understanding while accelerating AI product development across DocuSign. You'll provide essential services, frameworks, and guidelines enabling teams to build scalable AI features for e-signature, CLM, and beyond. Responsibilities include developing infrastructure for common AI scenarios (e.g., embeddings, RAG), optimizing for enterprise-scale performance, and setting governance standards to protect sensitive customer data—ensuring we deliver on our trust promise. You'll lead a team of 5-10 PMs, collaborate across engineering, data science, field, and marketing, and occasionally co-develop initial AI products, all in a hybrid model (minimum 2 days/week in-office). The ideal candidate brings 12+ years building enterprise software, proven success launching products at scale, and deep AI expertise from ideation to optimization. With a strong bias to action, you'll translate complex AI concepts into clear strategies that innovate agreement management. Key Responsibilities

  • Own and develop foundational AI capabilities, such as deep contract understanding, to power DocuSign's Intelligent Agreement Management platform
  • Accelerate AI-driven product development across DocuSign by providing reusable services, frameworks, and guidelines for e-signature and CLM scenarios
  • Build, maintain, and improve AI infrastructure services (e.g., embeddings capture, vectorization, search, RAG) for scale across geographies in secure, compliant environments
  • Optimize AI services for cost-efficiency, low latency, and high performance in enterprise-grade deployments
  • Set and enforce DocuSign's gold standard for AI governance, compliance, and handling of sensitive customer data
  • Develop training, communication, brand guidelines, core services, and review processes to uphold DocuSign's trust promise
  • Lead a team of 5-10 PMs to enable other teams in building AI features and co-develop initial product versions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data science, sales, marketing, and field teams to drive AI innovation
  • Define product strategy aligning AI advancements with DocuSign's e-signature and agreement management leadership
  • Monitor AI trends to ensure DocuSign remains at the forefront of intelligent agreement management

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in building software at scale, ideally for enterprise customers
  • Proven track record defining, launching, and scaling demonstrably successful products
  • Experience managing teams of 5-10 Product Managers, with managers reporting directly to you
  • Demonstrated ability supporting multiple product lines or initiatives simultaneously, while building supporting services
  • Strong ability to navigate and drive collaboration in complex organizational structures, including engineering, data science, field enablement, and marketing teams
  • Experience in people management for a Product Management team reporting to senior leadership
  • Based in the Seattle area with ability to work hybrid (minimum 2 days per week in-office)

  • Deep understanding of the AI development lifecycle, including constraints like data annotation speed, common pitfalls, and remedies in ML models, NLP, and document understanding
  • Experience using or building with open-source and commercial AI tools to accelerate product development
