This individual contributor role, reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Science, will apply cutting-edge machine learning and Generative AI solutions, partnering with product and engineering teams to drive data-first strategies. You'll prototype and deploy novel GenAI applications - including autonomous Agentic systems - to unlock insights from agreement data, predict user behavior, enhance e-signature experiences, and automate critical workflows. Lead the design of Agentic AI workflows that power at-scale campaigns, utilizing prompt engineering, RAG, and LLM fine-tuning to create innovative user experiences. Analyze customer agreement patterns and market trends to inform GenAI solutions that enhance DocuSign's platform. As an Agentic AI expert, you'll mentor team members, run sophisticated A/B tests, and translate complex GenAI concepts for diverse stakeholders while driving projects from ideation to production. This hybrid role requires minimum 2 days per week in-office. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and build of autonomous Agentic systems and workflows for DocuSign's Intelligent Agreement Management platform
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to deploy GenAI solutions at scale
• Experiment with and implement advanced DL/ML models focusing on Agentic Frameworks, LLMs, and GenAI to predict user behavior and enhance e-signature features
• Act as Agentic AI expert, providing guidance and mentorship to data science team members
• Utilize prompt engineering, RAG, and model fine-tuning to create novel user experiences in agreement management
• Analyze customer agreement data, market trends, and user insights to inform GenAI solution development
• Partner with product teams to design, run, and analyze A/B tests for GenAI-powered features
• Present actionable insights on model performance and business impact to diverse stakeholders
• Stay ahead of Generative AI advancements and propose innovative applications for DocuSign's platform
• Drive AI projects from ideation to production deployment, resolving cross-functional roadblocks

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• 3+ years of hands-on experience building data science applications and ML pipelines, with demonstrable experience in Generative AI projects
• Experience with Python for research and development, including common GenAI libraries (e.g., Transformers, LangChain)
• Demonstrable experience designing, building, or implementing Agentic AI systems or multi-agent frameworks
• Strong knowledge of ML/DL/statistics concepts, including LLMs, transformer architectures, and their applications
• Experience with prompt engineering and utilizing pre-trained LLMs (APIs or open-source)
• Experience with large datasets, distributed computing, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience training, evaluating, and deploying ML models in production (MLOps for GenAI)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering with specialization in machine learning, AI, or Statistics, with research/projects in Generative AI
• 5+ years of prior industry experience, with at least 1-2 years focused on GenAI applications
• Hands-on experience with fine-tuning LLMs or working with RAG methodologies
• Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks like crewAI, LangChain, or AutoGen
• Experience with MLOps tools including MLflow, Airflow (DAGs), and Amazon SageMaker
• Contributions to open-source GenAI projects or a portfolio of GenAI-related work
