As the Lead Applications Engineer - Oracle EPM, you will be responsible for working jointly with the FP&A, Accounting, Finance Business Transformation, Applications Product Management, Applications Engineering, and Program Management teams to implement, integrate, and support the Oracle EPM suite of products. This individual contributor role reports to the Sr. Director, Enterprise Applications and plays a pivotal role in driving financial innovation that powers DocuSign's global growth in e-signature and agreement management. You will own the technical architectural vision for EPM, design scalable Planning and Essbase solutions, lead implementations across all phases, and provide AI-enhanced expertise to align with DocuSign's culture of rapid innovation and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include partnering on solution design, configuration, integrations with systems like Oracle Fusion ERP and Workday, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support; enforcing Oracle best practices; developing technical accelerators; optimizing performance; mentoring teams; and delivering executive presentations that translate complex EPM strategies into insights supporting DocuSign's agreement platform scalability. You will ensure compliance, data security, and high user adoption during critical financial closes, while staying ahead of EPM trends like agentic AI and Predictive capabilities. This hybrid role requires access to an office location with a minimum of 2 days per week in-office (may vary by team). Key Responsibilities

  • Own the technical architectural vision for the Oracle EPM suite at DocuSign, aligning with business objectives in intelligent agreement management, e-signature innovation, and technology standards
  • Design and build scalable Oracle EPM Planning and Essbase solutions, including Essbase cubes, calculation scripts, business rules, and databases to support global finance operations
  • Partner with FP&A, Accounting, Finance Business Transformation, and engineering teams on all phases of Oracle Cloud EPM implementations, from design and configuration to integration, testing, deployment, and support
  • Lead installation, environment management, application administration, user access, data migrations, integrations, customizations, and reporting development
  • Develop testing scenarios, manage SIT execution, support UAT, and enforce Oracle best practices for dimensions, forms, rules, security, reports, and data validation
  • Provide technical expertise on AI-driven EPM solutions, including Predictive AI, Intelligent Narrative Generation, data pipelines, vector databases, and agentic AI capabilities
  • Offer end-user support, training, troubleshooting during critical financial processes, and optimize performance through tuning, capacity planning, and infrastructure enhancements
  • Create and maintain documentation (runbooks, architecture, designs), track KPIs for system health and user adoption, and mentor team members on EPM best practices
  • Stay current with Oracle EPM innovations, present strategies and metrics to executives, translating technical insights into actionable business value for DocuSign's agreement management platform

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience with Oracle EPM suite (6+ years with a Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field)
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in architecting, implementing, customizing, and supporting Oracle EPM Planning, Hyperion, and Essbase solutions
  • Experience designing and implementing business performance management applications, including budgeting, forecasting, planning, consolidation, and reporting, with understanding of finance/accounting principles
  • Deep experience with Oracle Hyperion EPM Suite (On-Premise and Cloud), EPM Planning, EPBCS (all modules), EPCM, EDMCS, PCMCS, Calculation Manager, Narrative/Management Reporting, and Smart View
  • Architect-level experience integrating Oracle EPM with enterprise systems using OIC, SFTP, EPM Automate, EPM Agents, Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, Data Exchange, Pipelines, and API-based integrations (e.g., Workday)
  • Proficiency with relational databases, SQL, data integration techniques, Groovy Scripting, PL/SQL, OCI/VBCS coding, report development (Financial Reporting, Smart View), and Predictive AI for EPM
  • Experience with direct Oracle integrations to Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and Oracle BI-Publisher

  • Provide technical expertise on AI-driven EPM solutions, including Predictive AI, Intelligent Narrative Generation, data pipelines, vector databases, and agentic AI capabilities
  • Offer end-user support, training, troubleshooting during critical financial processes, and optimize performance through tuning, capacity planning, and infrastructure enhancements
  • Create and maintain documentation (runbooks, architecture, designs), track KPIs for system health and user adoption, and mentor team members on EPM best practices
  • Stay current with Oracle EPM innovations, present strategies and metrics to executives, translating technical insights into actionable business value for DocuSign's agreement management platform
