We are seeking a Lead Marketing Data Architect to join our Enterprise Data Warehousing Team as an individual contributor reporting to the Sr. Director, Data Architecture & Engineering. In this hybrid role (minimum 2 days/week in-office), you will design, develop, and maintain robust data architecture for marketing analytics and insights. Your work will power large-scale data collection, storage, and analysis, enabling campaign optimization, customer segmentation, and ROI measurement tied to e-signature and agreement workflows. Collaborate with marketing, IT, and stakeholders to build scalable warehouses, lake houses, and integrations that align with DocuSign's global scale and innovation goals. Leverage your 12+ years in data architecture to optimize data flows for real-time insights, integrate CRM systems like Salesforce, and apply ML/AI techniques for advanced analytics. Ensure compliance with data privacy (GDPR, CCPA) while driving efficiency through technologies like Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Spark, and AWS. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data models and database architecture tailored for marketing data analytics and reporting within DocuSign's enterprise data warehousing environment
  • Collaborate closely with marketing teams to understand data needs and translate business requirements into scalable technical specifications
  • Implement and maintain efficient data warehouses and data marts supporting campaign management, customer segmentation, ROI analysis, and intelligent agreement insights
  • Optimize data flows for accuracy, accessibility, and quality, enabling real-time and batch processing for e-signature and CLM analytics
  • Develop and enforce best practices for data modeling, extraction, and loading into data warehouses aligned with DocuSign's innovation culture
  • Partner with IT, engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure data architecture supports marketing goals and overall intelligent agreement management strategy
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation of data architectures, configurations, and processes to drive team efficiency
  • Stay ahead of industry trends in data warehousing, marketing technologies, and AI/ML to continuously enhance DocuSign's data infrastructure
  • Integrate CRM data from Salesforce, Iterable, and others to unlock business-critical insights from agreements
  • Apply analytical problem-solving to address data challenges and enable data-driven decisions for global customers

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 12+ years of proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or similar role with a focus on data warehousing and marketing data analytics
  • Deep experience designing data platforms for large-scale data and diverse architectures, including warehouses, lake houses, and integrated data stores
  • Hands-on experience in marketing data and analytics, including attribution models, propensity models, segmentation, customer databases, and campaign tracking
  • Proven expertise in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Iterable, Eloqua) and their integration with data warehouses
  • Strong proficiency in key technologies: SQL, Bash, Python, Java, Spark, AWS, DataOps, DevSecOps, Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, Aurora
  • Experience with database structure principles, data modeling, and metadata management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Experience with data security (PHI and PII) and privacy regulations (CCPA, GDPR)
  • Exposure to ML/AI analytics techniques to support data scientists and analysts
