In this individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Engineering, you'll build next-generation backend services that power enterprise-grade e-signature and CLM scenarios. Key Responsibilities

• Join the Search platform team to drive an architectural shift enabling 10x growth in DocuSign's Intelligent Agreement Management platform
• Build next-generation backend software and services powering the Agreement Cloud for hundreds of enterprise customers
• Collaborate with Product Managers to translate customer scenarios into engineering requirements, designs, and accurate estimates
• Develop testable, high-quality, ship-ready code with comprehensive test coverage for e-signature and CLM solutions
• Design fault-tolerant, scalable systems that solve problems at massive scale for global agreement management
• Work in cross-site Agile teams to drive design, implementation, testing, development, and release of innovative products
• Apply critical thinking to quickly understand existing systems and take smart, educated risks in fast-paced environments
• Champion open-minded, forward-thinking approaches to create passionate, great software that accelerates business agreements
• Ensure high availability and performance of search functionalities critical to DocuSign's e-signature ecosystem
• Contribute to the full SDLC, optimizing for reliability in a platform serving over 1.5 million customers worldwide

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Informatics, or equivalent
• 8+ years of professional software development experience
• 5+ years of development experience in Search, information retrieval, or recommendation systems
• Strong experience working with C#, .NET Core, SQL Databases, and designing large-scale distributed systems
• Experience with the entire software development lifecycle, including version control (Git), build processes, testing, and code release
• Proven ability to work in dynamic, fast-moving environments with Agile and Test-Driven Development methodologies
• Demonstrated passion for building and maintaining highly available systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building or consuming RESTful web services
• Hands-on experience with Lucene or Elasticsearch technologies
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Track record of shipping highly available, scalable services on Azure
• Ability and desire to work across diverse technology stacks and learn new software technologies rapidly
