As a Lead, Technology & Business Operations, you'll be a strategic force multiplier for engineering leaders, enabling them to focus on critical goals powering DocuSign's e-signature and CLM innovations. This individual contributor role reports to the Senior Director, Technology & Business Operations, bridging engineering with stakeholders to orchestrate programs, optimize cadences, and boost effectiveness. Champion operational excellence as a trusted BizOps partner, translating objectives into actionable goals while fostering alignment in our fast-paced, high-growth environment. Hybrid designation: minimum 2 days/week in-office. Partner with engineering leadership to drive rhythm of business, from OKR reviews to off-sites, while managing cross-team projects, risks, and budgets. Build dashboards for real-time insights into velocity, quality, and costs; optimize workflows and tooling; and deliver executive narratives that inform decisions accelerating DocuSign's platform. Support talent planning and inclusive culture to unify teams, resolving friction proactively. Thrive in ambiguity with a bias for action, leveraging your expertise to transform challenges into streamlined processes that propel our intelligent agreement management leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with engineering leadership to translate strategic objectives into clear, actionable goals aligned with DocuSign's Intelligent Agreement Management platform
  • Shape strategic direction and operational excellence, balancing vision with execution to accelerate e-signature and CLM innovations
  • Drive rhythm of business activities, including team town halls, planning cycles, OKR reviews, and leadership off-sites
  • Apply program management expertise to define workstreams, milestones, and track projects for successful delivery
  • Act as bridge between engineering leadership and stakeholders in Product, People, Finance, and Legal
  • Coordinate cross-team strategic projects with seamless communication and alignment
  • Design and optimize workflows, tooling, and best practices for engineering leads
  • Build and maintain real-time dashboards for engineering health metrics like velocity, quality, reliability, and cost
  • Prepare crisp narratives, dashboards, and pre-reads for engineering leadership
  • Support talent planning, inclusive culture, and team unification to resolve friction proactively
  • Identify and manage program risks, surfacing prioritization and tradeoffs
  • Manage engineering budgets, analyzing variances, forecasting, and optimizing costs

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in program or technical program management within strategy and operations, including a minimum of 3 years directly partnering with an engineering organization
  • Proven history of driving significant operational improvements in high-growth technology environments, transforming challenges into streamlined processes
  • Deep experience with engineering metrics, leading productivity frameworks, and cutting-edge operational best practices
  • Demonstrated success establishing or enhancing technical KPIs, OKRs, or scorecards for engineering teams
  • Track record navigating fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a proactive bias for action and dedication to continuous improvement
  • Experience leading and refining rhythm of business activities, including planning cycles, leadership reviews, and comprehensive reporting
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
