As a Market Development Representative (MDR) in Global Sales Development, you will generate new business through high-volume outbound calls (80% of your time) and targeted emails to prospects in DocuSign’s core vertical markets. You’ll qualify leads by probing their business strategies, then align our e-signature and CLM solutions to address pain points and streamline workflows. This individual contributor role, reporting to the Manager, MDR EBU, offers hands-on training in strategic selling, account research, and our cutting-edge platform—perfect for launching or advancing your career in a thriving SaaS leader. Key responsibilities include scheduling meetings with Account Executives across SMB, Mid-Market, and Enterprise, mastering CRM to uncover territory opportunities, and partnering with marketing on email/LinkedIn campaigns to boost brand awareness. Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through outbound calls and targeted emails to potential clients in DocuSign’s core vertical markets
  • Qualify prospective customers by asking targeted questions about their business strategy and pain points
  • Align and present DocuSign’s Intelligent Agreement Management and e-signature solutions to solve business process challenges
  • Spend approximately 80% of time on the phone prospecting and engaging new clients
  • Schedule qualified appointments between prospects and Account Executives across SMB, Mid-Market, or Enterprise verticals
  • Strategically use CRM systems to record prospect information, track activities, and identify opportunities in assigned territories
  • Collaborate closely with marketing teams to develop and execute email and LinkedIn campaigns for brand awareness
  • Conduct thorough research on targeted accounts to personalize outreach and drive engagement
  • Participate in hands-on training focused on strategic selling and DocuSign product offerings
  • Contribute to team goals as an individual contributor reporting to the Manager, MDR EBU
  • Leverage DocuSign’s innovative platform to accelerate business agreements and demonstrate value

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent sales-related experience
  • 1+ years of experience in a client or customer-facing role
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business through outbound prospecting
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools to manage leads and territories
  • Strong understanding of business development in competitive markets
  • Ability to qualify prospects through strategic questioning
  • Comfortable spending 80% of time on phone prospecting
  • Eligibility to work in the specified location with hybrid office access
