We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Network Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager, Network Engineering and Collaboration Platform, you'll operate and enhance IT and InfoSec solutions ensuring secure, seamless experiences for our global users. Collaborate with skilled engineers to build, scale, and secure corporate infrastructure, with a focus on cloud management, automation, network administration, and workplace technology transformations like ZTNA. Execute projects with an automation mindset, participate in on-call rotations, and apply infrastructure-as-code principles to promote uptime, speed, and security for DocuSign's e-signature platform. Key responsibilities include leading advanced network security designs (firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP), enforcing policies for compliance, providing expert troubleshooting, driving automation for provisioning and response, and designing global infrastructure that supports our innovative CLM solutions. With a customer-centric approach, you'll collaborate across teams to deliver practical, scalable solutions that power reliable digital agreements for millions. This hybrid role requires minimum 2 days per week in-office (frequency may vary by team). Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of advanced network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and data loss prevention in cloud and on-premises environments
• Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risks for DocuSign's global infrastructure
• Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for complex network and security incidents, serving as a senior escalation point during on-call rotations
• Drive automation initiatives for network provisioning, security configuration, and incident response using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools
• Collaborate with InfoSec and IT teams to integrate network security solutions and maintain a unified security strategy supporting DocuSign's intelligent agreement management platform
• Design, implement, and maintain DocuSign’s enterprise network infrastructure with emphasis on workplace technology and ZTNA transformation
• Exhibit a customer-centric approach to requests, collaborating on practical, scalable solutions to enhance e-signature and CLM reliability
• Automate processes wherever possible and improve operational workflows to promote global uptime, speed, and security
• Operate and enhance IT and InfoSec solutions ensuring secure, seamless experiences for DocuSign's 1.5 million customers worldwide
• Focus on cloud management, automation, and network administration to scale corporate infrastructure supporting e-signature innovation
• Participate in on-call rotations and execute projects with an automation mindset and infrastructure-as-code principles

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in systems or software engineering, operating systems, networking concepts, and infrastructure security
• 4+ years of experience with programming/scripting languages such as Python or Go
• Hands-on experience with major cloud providers, particularly AWS (Azure also acceptable), including network security and scalability
• Strong understanding of networking principles, routed and routing protocols (STP, IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
• Expertise in enterprise wired and wireless solutions (Cisco switching/routing, Juniper Mist WLAN, Palo Alto Networks, Zscaler)
• Experience using configuration management tools at scale such as Ansible or Puppet
• Proficiency in cybersecurity best practices, network security, observability, and application delivery
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or relevant experience
• Advanced knowledge of system administration, Linux, and TCP/IP
• Network and security professional-level certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIE, PCNSE)
• Proven experience building digital experiences to improve infrastructure reliability
• Self-starter capable of prioritizing and executing projects independently
• Experience with Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) transformations
