This pivotal role shapes our strategies for complex integrations with resellers, Systems Integrators (SIs), and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), supporting the development of intelligent agreement management solutions while ensuring compliance with evolving regulations. As a key individual contributor reporting to the Deputy General Counsel for Product, Engineering, Partnerships, and IP, you'll thrive in our dynamic, fast-paced environment, passionate about technology's impact on legal practice. You are a self-starter with strong drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills, capable of driving complex enterprise deals. This strategic, tech-savvy role demands maintaining a big-picture view while diving into details to align business objectives with legal structures. Drive global technical agreements, develop partner programs, act as a liaison across teams, and support AI innovations in our e-signature platform—all while embodying Docusign's culture of trust, equality, and world-changing impact. Key Responsibilities

  • Drive, draft, and negotiate complex global technical agreements, including partnership agreements, platform integration agreements, identity-related integrations, key tech vendor transactions, ISV/OEM, and reseller agreements
  • Work cross-functionally to define and develop global partner and channel programs, including creating and maintaining related corporate policies, procedures, legal templates, and training materials
  • Act as a critical liaison between partnership teams, product/engineering, and other legal subject matter experts (e.g., privacy, regulatory, IP)
  • Assist in supporting the innovation and integration of AI technology into DocuSign's Intelligent Agreement Management platform to deliver enhanced e-signature and CLM solutions
  • Provide strategic legal advice on technology integrations that accelerate DocuSign's leadership in the Intelligent Agreement Category
  • Ensure compliance with evolving regulatory frameworks across multi-jurisdictional transactions
  • Advise business stakeholders on balancing legal risks with strategic goals in SaaS partnerships
  • Develop and maintain legal playbooks for reseller, SI, and ISV integrations
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to shape partnership strategies for e-signature and agreement automation innovations
  • Manage high-volume enterprise transactions with a focus on speed, accuracy, and business alignment

Required Qualifications

  • J.D. Degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar
  • Minimum of 8+ years of relevant technology transactional experience
  • Global transactional background, with experience in negotiating, drafting, and advising business stakeholders on technology-related integrations, licensing, and multi-jurisdictional transactions
  • Experience with business partnerships and licensing agreements
  • Strong understanding of data usage, privacy, and data security, particularly with SaaS products
  • General understanding of cloud and software industries, including the SaaS model and modern technology stacks
  • Experience in a global technology organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to provide practical, technically-driven advice and effectively balance legal risks with strategic business goals
  • Demonstrated ability to address complex problems and business needs in fast-paced tech environments
