As Senior Manager, Software Engineering leading the Extensibility Platform team, you will drive a high-performing cross-functional group developing and scaling our platform that empowers external and internal developers to build seamless integrations with Docusign's Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) systems. Developers upload apps via the Developer Console for discovery and installation in the DocuSign App Center. Reporting to the Director of Software Engineering, this people manager role ensures platform scalability, configurability, and support for diverse e-signature and agreement scenarios in a hybrid work model (minimum 2 days/week in-office). You will define the technical vision and roadmap emphasizing usability, performance, and scalability; collaborate with product managers and architects on critical features; guide high-quality code practices with robust testing and monitoring; champion DevOps and Agile for efficiency; mentor talent in an innovation-driven culture; and engage partners to grow the App Center ecosystem. Key Responsibilities

• Define and communicate a clear technical vision and strategic roadmap for the Extensibility Platform, emphasizing usability, performance, and scalability
• Lead a high-performing cross-functional engineering team focused on developing and scaling the Extensibility Platform and creating new Extension Types and first-party apps
• Work closely with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver features critical to DocuSign's Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) success
• Guide the team in producing high-quality, maintainable code with best practices in testing, monitoring, and logging
• Promote DevOps, continuous deployment, and Agile methodologies to enhance development efficiency and product quality
• Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration
• Engage with external developers and partners to expand the ecosystem of integrations in the DocuSign App Center
• Ensure the platform's high scalability, configurability, and support for diverse business scenarios in e-signature and agreement management
• Drive seamless integrations between the Extensibility Platform and DocuSign's IAM systems via the Developer Console
• Collaborate on high-availability solutions to support millions of customers worldwide

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development and management experience across multiple languages and frameworks (or equivalent)
• 5+ years of hands-on coding experience or equivalent
• 5+ years of leading software engineering teams of 5+ people or equivalent
• Proven track record in building solutions that consume and expose APIs/web services
• Experience in SaaS or Cloud environments
• Experience building enterprise software and platforms
• Demonstrated ability to scale platform components for app marketplaces or similar ecosystems

• Expertise with high-availability (99.99%+) distributed systems
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies
• Prior involvement in designing secure, reliable integrations with third-party apps or services
