We’re seeking an experienced full-stack developer with a strong back-end focus to build highly scalable microservices and user-facing functionality for Docusign’s vast customer base. This individual contributor role reports to the Senior Director, Software Engineering, in a hybrid model requiring minimum 2 days per week in-office. You’ll take ownership of components end-to-end, mentor peers, lead projects, and drive innovation in e-signature and CLM platforms, ensuring high availability and performance at global scale. Key Responsibilities

• Perform development tasks as a key contributor, consistently delivering complex engineering projects on time and to the highest quality
• Coach and mentor less experienced team members in their work
• Lead and oversee development of multiple minor to major technologies and associated project teams
• Ensure timely and high-quality deliverables across multiple engineering projects and teams
• Lead self and others through new concept development and implementation, leveraging Lexion’s AI for DocuSign features
• Take full ownership of components, from development to testing to performance tuning
• Build highly scalable and highly available microservices for DocuSign’s Intelligent Agreement Management platform
• Develop user-facing functionality integrating e-signature and contract lifecycle management (CLM) capabilities
• Collaborate in a hybrid environment, balancing independent work with team contributions
• Drive innovation by focusing on high-quality, maintainable code in a fast-paced startup-like team backed by DocuSign resources
• Contribute to enhancing DocuSign’s platform for over 1.5 million customers worldwide

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years related experience with a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience
• Strong back-end development experience
• Proficiency in modern server-side development using languages like .NET (preferred), JVM (Java/Scala), NodeJS, or similar
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL and SQL databases
• Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies
• Proven track record working with scalable microservices architectures
• Experience improving and maintaining large existing codebases
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working for a SaaS company, ideally in e-signature or agreement management
• Practical experience with React/TypeScript for front-end development
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, Kubernetes, or AWS
• Strong interest or documented experience in large-scale microservice architectures
• Experience designing and implementing RPC protocols
• Strong understanding and experience in agile methodologies
