We're seeking a Software Development Engineer to join our Paris, France development team, focusing on pioneering real identity integration into agreements. This individual contributor role, reporting to the Senior Manager of Software Engineering, positions you at the forefront of DocuSign's global expansion, collaborating across multicultural teams to innovate identity solutions that unlock trapped data in documents and drive new market opportunities. In this hybrid role (minimum 2 days/week in-office), you'll architect fault-tolerant systems, develop ship-ready code with full test coverage, and design extensible architectures for e-signature scalability. You'll build user interfaces and APIs enabling seamless integrations for developers, while working with Product Management, UX, and global teams to transform requirements into high-impact features. Your expertise in .NET/C#, observability, and SDLC will ensure our platform remains innovative, reliable, and ready for massive scale. Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and design scalable components for incorporating real identity into DocuSign agreements
  • Solve complex problems at scale and build fault-tolerant systems supporting global expansion
  • Develop high-quality, ship-ready code covered by comprehensive test suites
  • Ensure designs and architectures are extensible across multiple projects and conduct technical design reviews
  • Share and adopt best practices for performance, availability, and observability in functional areas
  • Design and develop user interfaces and core functionalities to enable seamless integration for internal and third-party developers with DocuSign's Intelligent Agreement Management platform
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Designers, UX Research, and developers to translate marketing requirements into technical designs and provide accurate development estimates
  • Work as part of a cross-country, multicultural development team to drive design, implementation, testing, and release of innovative e-signature and CLM products
  • Contribute to DocuSign's global market expansion by enhancing identity verification in agreements
  • Participate in strategy, delivery, and implementation of real identity solutions for e-signatures

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Informatics or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or equivalent position, or 3+ years with a Master’s degree
  • Experience with server-side development, preferably in .NET/C#
  • Experience with application telemetry, monitoring, and observability practices
  • Experience with the entire software development lifecycle, including continuous integration, testing, and code releases
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-moving environment, prioritize work, and manage time effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the design and operation of large-scale cloud services
  • Experience in Front-End Development using React
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps and building/deploying microservices
  • Experience in Authentication and Authorization schemas (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect)
