We're seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer, Commerce Frontend, to join our tight-knit Product-Led Growth commerce experiences team. In a collaborative pod of 4-6 frontend engineers, you'll develop, test, and experiment on ecom.docusign.com and related experiences, owning end-to-end customer journeys across vast product and engineering surfaces. This individual contributor role reports to the Engineering Manager, Commerce Experiences, offering unique learning in DocuSign's dynamic ecosystem. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality, user-focused commerce experiences using React and Node.js on ecom.docusign.com and adjacent platforms
• Build, maintain, and scale a robust, reusable component library to ensure UI consistency across DocuSign's intelligent agreement management solutions
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code adhering to industry best practices and DocuSign's e-signature innovation standards
• Develop and maintain comprehensive automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) to guarantee reliability in high-traffic consumer environments
• Collaborate in an Agile pod of 4-6 engineers, leveraging CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and rigorous code reviews
• Partner cross-functionally with designers, product managers, and backend teams to deliver seamless, end-to-end customer experiences
• Mentor fellow engineers, sharing technical expertise to elevate the Commerce Experiences team's capabilities
• Present software architectures and strategies to executives, shaping decisions for DocuSign's product-led growth initiatives
• Work in cross-site teams to drive design, implementation, testing, and release of commerce features accelerating e-signature adoption
• Proactively identify and resolve technical risks, performance issues, and usability gaps in agreement management workflows
• Stay ahead of frontend trends to enhance DocuSign's ecosystem, optimizing for speed, accessibility, and global scalability

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Informatics, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development, with specialization in the React/Node.js ecosystem and consumer-facing web applications
• Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript, including deep knowledge of modern ES6+ features
• Proficiency in React.js, Node.js, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery, and cutting-edge frontend technologies
• Hands-on experience building and consuming RESTful web services
• Proven track record of developing and shipping highly scalable, consumer-facing web applications
• Experience thriving in Agile environments with Git for version control, CI/CD workflows, and automated testing practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in RESTful and GraphQL API integration
• Experience with Next.js for server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG)
• Familiarity with Azure cloud infrastructure and cloud-native architectures
• Strong knowledge of web accessibility (a11y), internationalization (i18n), telemetry, and experimentation frameworks
• Demonstrated experience with growth experimentation, A/B testing, and data-driven UI optimization
• Passion for frontend performance tuning, exceptional user experiences, and sustainable architectures
