As a Software Engineer in Engineering, you will lead and contribute to full-stack development projects utilizing .NET/C# or Java in Linux environments. You’ll design and build scalable cloud-based services and robust RESTful APIs that enable seamless integrations for DocuSign’s e-signature and CLM solutions. Ensuring high code quality through CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Git version control, and best practices, you’ll drive technical solutions from design to deployment, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability. Collaboration with global, cross-functional teams—including Product, UX, and Engineering—will be central, as you architect fault-tolerant systems, mentor peers, and participate in on-call rotations. This individual contributor role reports to the Director, Engineering, in a dynamic, innovation-driven culture. Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and design scalable components for DocuSign’s Intelligent Agreement Management platform
  • Solve problems at scale and build fault-tolerant systems to support e-signature and CLM solutions
  • Develop high-quality, ship-ready code covered by comprehensive test suites
  • Ensure designs and architectures are extensible across multiple projects and conduct technical design reviews
  • Design and develop user interfaces and core functionalities to enable seamless integration for internal and third-party developers with DocuSign
  • Develop and execute DevOps tasks, focusing on automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure management
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Designers, UX Research, and global engineering teams to translate requirements into technical designs and provide development estimates
  • Enhance quality by identifying new test cases and devising efficient, scalable testing processes
  • Stay updated with the latest development trends in e-signature and agreement management, sharing insights with the team
  • Work in a cross-country development team to drive design, implementation, testing, and release of innovative products
  • Participate in on-call rotation and mentor team members on engineering best practices
  • Promote performance, reliability, and scalability in cloud-based services powering DocuSign’s global platform

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Informatics, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of development experience as a Software Engineer or equivalent position
  • Experience with full stack development, preferably in .NET/C# or Java
  • Linux experience
  • Experience building or consuming RESTful APIs
  • Experience with direct involvement in the design and operation of large scale cloud services
  • Experience with the entire software development lifecycle, including version control (Git), continuous integration, testing, and code release
  • Fluent in English

  • Experience in highly secured distributed systems
  • Experience in Authentication Authorization schemas (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect)
  • Agile and test-driven development methodologies
