As a hands-on individual contributor reporting to the Senior Manager of Engineering, you'll collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and platform engineers in our agile, passionate team. Design and architect scalable microservices, write accessible and testable code, and ensure high-quality, timely releases addressing features, performance, scale, security, and accessibility. Your work will unleash business-critical data from documents, connecting it to systems of record to drive efficiency and opportunity. Key Responsibilities

  • Build foundational tools and services for DocuSign's next-generation Intelligent Agreement Management platform
  • Develop schema-driven SaaS products that scale to meet diverse customer needs across e-signature and contract lifecycle management
  • Write accessible, maintainable, and testable C# server-side code
  • Actively participate in the design and architecture of microservices and libraries
  • Collaborate with project management, product managers, developers, and platform engineers to elicit requirements and ensure high-quality releases
  • Work in an agile team to deliver engaging user experiences used by DocuSign product teams, partners, and customers
  • Address production issues related to product features, performance, speed, scale, security, and accessibility
  • Maintain open-source schema language and runtime components
  • Improve team processes, suggest efficiency enhancements, and model engineering best practices
  • Troubleshoot and fix production issues while ensuring code quality and reliability

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with C#
  • Experience with NoSQL data stores, such as CosmosDB
  • Experience with SQL data stores, such as Postgres
  • Experience with modern development practices including Agile and Test-driven development
  • Experience delivering scalable SaaS products
  • Proficiency in the entire software development lifecycle, including version control, build processes, testing, and code release
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in asynchronous environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing and developing scalable cloud-based microservice components
  • A history of open-source contributions
  • Experience with data modeling or schema languages, such as XML Schema or JSON Schema
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful or gRPC web services
