We’re seeking a highly motivated Sr. Software Engineer to join our Product Led Growth (PLG) team within the Growth and Marketing vertical. In this individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Engineering Manager, you’ll own the full software development lifecycle—design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance—of e-commerce and growth applications powering DocuSign’s e-signature ecosystem. You’ll design fault-tolerant systems for high-availability, develop ship-ready code with robust test coverage, partner with cross-functional teams to architect end-to-end solutions, lead designs for the PLG org, mentor senior engineers, represent engineering in stakeholder forums, build POCs for technical challenges, present architectures to executives, and collaborate across sites to release innovative products. This hybrid role requires a minimum of 2 days per week in-office. Key Responsibilities

• Execute all phases of the software development lifecycle for e-commerce and growth applications supporting DocuSign’s Intelligent Agreement Management platform
• Design and build scalable, fault-tolerant systems that handle high-volume e-signature and agreement workflows
• Develop high-quality, testable code with comprehensive test coverage and ensure ship-ready deliverables
• Collaborate with Product Management, commerce, and growth teams to translate business needs into end-to-end architecture and system designs
• Lead architecture and system design initiatives across cross-functional PLG teams
• Mentor senior and lead engineers, architects, and team members on engineering best practices
• Represent PLG Engineering in stakeholder discussions and present software architectures to executives
• Identify technical challenges, build proofs-of-concept (POCs), and recommend scalable solutions
• Work in a cross-site development team to drive design, implementation, testing, and release of innovative products
• Continuously improve team processes, foster innovation, and model excellence in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Informatics, or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of software development experience building user-facing applications
• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a software engineer
• Proficiency in modern programming languages including C#, Go, Java, React, or JavaScript
• Demonstrated experience with the full software development lifecycle, including Git version control, CI/CD build processes, testing, and production releases
• Proven ability to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in backend development and building/consuming RESTful web services
• Hands-on work with distributed systems and large-scale cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Track record of leading architecture designs for high-availability, fault-tolerant systems
