In this individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Engineering, Commerce Services, you'll execute the full software development lifecycle—design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance—while passionately leveraging AI/ML to innovate user experiences, personalize e-commerce journeys, and optimize processes for our #1 e-signature platform. Key Responsibilities

  • Write high-quality, maintainable, and testable code primarily in C# for the e-commerce application supporting DocuSign's Intelligent Agreement Management platform
  • Develop and maintain automated tests, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum environment with CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and Git version control
  • Lead complete backend development of new features for e-signature and agreement management workflows
  • Collaborate with product and data teams to identify and implement AI/ML integrations for intelligent e-commerce features
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues, set up telemetry, monitoring, and ensure high availability of services
  • Proactively raise issues impacting delivery and optimize processes for team efficiency
  • Design and implement scalable microservices to enhance user experiences in DocuSign's e-signature and CLM solutions
  • Mentor junior engineers and model engineering best practices in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Integrate AI-driven insights to optimize business processes, personalization, and automation in e-commerce platform

Required Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of professional experience building scalable and testable APIs in C#/.Net or Java
  • Hands-on professional experience integrating with both internal and external APIs
  • Strong experience in product development and building large-scale web applications
  • Experience designing and developing highly scalable consumer-facing APIs
  • Proficiency in writing high-performance, reusable code for cross-product components
  • Demonstrated ability to execute full software development lifecycle (design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong object-oriented design and programming skills
  • Understanding of AI and foundational concepts with enthusiasm for AI/ML in product development
  • Experience with GraphQL, NoSQL, Azure, Azure DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes
