Join our Agreement Platform team as a Sr. Software Engineer to build the foundational tools and services for our next-generation platform, enabling seamless scaling for diverse customer needs in e-signature and CLM. In this individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Manager, Engineering, you'll design and architect schema-driven microservices that multiple DocuSign product teams, partners, and customers rely on. You'll collaborate in an entrepreneurial, innovation-driven culture, brainstorming with product managers, developers, and platform engineers to solve complex challenges using cutting-edge .NET technologies. Hands-on ownership of features, performance, scale, security, and accessibility will ensure our platform handles billions of agreements with reliability and speed. Model best practices by writing maintainable code, optimizing for performance, and driving process improvements. Key Responsibilities

  • Build foundational tools and services for DocuSign's next-generation Intelligent Agreement Management platform
  • Design and architect scalable microservices used by multiple DocuSign product teams, partners, and customers
  • Collaborate with partner teams to onboard them onto the schema-driven Agreement Platform
  • Write accessible, maintainable, and testable code adhering to engineering best practices
  • Participate in microservice architecture design and schema language/runtime maintenance
  • Work with product managers and developers to elicit requirements and ensure timely, high-quality releases
  • Address production issues related to features, performance, speed, scale, security, and accessibility
  • Contribute to agile teams delivering innovative e-signature and CLM solutions
  • Model engineering excellence by improving processes and team effectiveness
  • Optimize services for handling billions of agreements across 180+ countries

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience
  • Proficiency in C# or other modern programming languages with strong .NET expertise
  • Experience designing and developing scalable cloud-based microservice components
  • Hands-on experience building and consuming RESTful or gRPC web services
  • Proven track record delivering high-quality SaaS products
  • Familiarity with schema-driven architectures and data modeling
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle including CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • History of open-source contributions, particularly in schema languages or runtimes
  • Expertise in Agile and Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies
  • Experience in performance analysis, code optimization, and scalability engineering
  • Strong communication skills in asynchronous, distributed team environments
