Key Responsibilities

The Store Manager role demands hands-on leadership in all store functions. Key duties include:

• Recruiting, selecting, and retaining qualified employees while adhering to federal and state labor laws and company policies to keep the store fully staffed.
• Delivering proper training, conducting performance evaluations, identifying skill gaps, and providing solutions including counseling or termination as needed.
• Making informed recommendations on employee pay rates and advancement to foster a motivated team.
• Regularly communicating performance, conduct, and safety expectations; organizing meetings and events to reinforce policies.
• Ensuring the store is effectively staffed, personally opening at least twice per week and closing twice per week.
• Evaluating operating statements to spot business trends like sales growth, profitability, shrink reduction, and expense opportunities.
• Ordering merchandise to exceed in-stock targets, reviewing weekly plans, seasonal strategies, and managing Basic Stock Replenishment (BSR) and cycle counts.
• Facilitating efficient staging, stocking, and storage following company processes for maximum productivity.
• Maintaining impeccable merchandise presentation with proper fixtures, pricing, and signage.
• Controlling inventory accuracy through damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and facility controls.
• Protecting store financial integrity with strict cashier accountability, key control, and security practices.
• Leading superior customer service and upholding a clean, safe, organized store equipped for all tasks.

Qualifications
