Required Qualifications

  • Coursework or certification in electronic technology and 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience specializing in electronic technology (including troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment). (experience)
  • OR 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience specializing in electronic technology (including troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment). (experience)
  • PLC/PC programming knowledge and troubleshooting experience is essential. (experience)
  • Hands-on industrial electrical experience with troubleshooting, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24 VDC systems. (experience)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics, and technical drawings. (experience)
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as multi-meters and laptops for electrical troubleshooting. (experience)
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and guidelines in a warehouse environment. (experience)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with team members and management. (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment, including lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, and electronic/electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment, networks, logic controls, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Motor Drives (Servo and VFD), and external Input / Output (I/O) devices.
  • Diagnose electrical problems using technical drawings, blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics, and diagnostic tools like multi-meters and laptops.
  • Assist other maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment to ensure efficient operations.
  • Initiate and implement new procedures and create designs to optimize equipment/systems operating efficiency.
  • Develop a deep knowledge base of different systems within the Distribution Center to quickly identify and resolve issues.
  • Maintain an organized work area and promote a safe working environment within the Maintenance department.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Complete work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
  • Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure workmanship is of the highest quality to maintain the integrity and reliability of equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines to maximize personal safety and the safety of other associates.
