- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics, and technical drawings. (experience)
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as multi-meters and laptops for electrical troubleshooting. (experience)
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and guidelines in a warehouse environment. (experience)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with team members and management. (experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment, including lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, and electronic/electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment, networks, logic controls, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Motor Drives (Servo and VFD), and external Input / Output (I/O) devices.
- Diagnose electrical problems using technical drawings, blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics, and diagnostic tools like multi-meters and laptops.
- Assist other maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment to ensure efficient operations.
- Initiate and implement new procedures and create designs to optimize equipment/systems operating efficiency.
- Develop a deep knowledge base of different systems within the Distribution Center to quickly identify and resolve issues.
- Maintain an organized work area and promote a safe working environment within the Maintenance department.
- Communicate effectively with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing to minimize equipment downtime.
- Complete work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
- Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure workmanship is of the highest quality to maintain the integrity and reliability of equipment.
