Payroll Analyst at DoorDash

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute regular payroll processing tasks for US and Canada with precision and timeliness, including audits, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Serve as a process owner, proactively identifying and implementing payroll process improvements and automation initiatives
  • Partner with internal teams (HRIS, Benefits, Legal, Equity) and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues
  • Support payroll-related projects of moderate complexity, such as compliance updates, audit prep, or payroll calendar transitions
  • Identify and flag workflow gaps, escalate to the appropriate teams, and contribute to documentation and knowledge-sharing efforts
  • Develop your knowledge of North American payroll operations while learning scalable practices in a high-growth, fast-moving environment

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience processing complex, multi-state US payrolls (Canadian payroll experience is a plus but not required)
  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, or similar platforms, and advanced Excel or Google Sheet skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
  • Proactive problem solver who identifies root causes and implements scalable, best-practice solutions with minimal direction
  • Collaborative, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Developing expertise in payroll fundamentals and are eager to expand your scope and take on new challenges
  • Must be comfortable regularly exercising discretion and independent judgment in performing job duties, including evaluating options, making informed decisions, and determining appropriate courses of action within the scope of assigned responsibilities
